ABOUT US

COREY BEASLEY

I write fiction, short and long. I'm from Lynchburg, Virginia, and I've lived in the South for most of my life, including my time spent at George Mason University in Fairfax. A brief move to Boston did not in any way adversely affect my love for various gravies. I'm currently two-thirds of the way through George Mason's MFA Program in Fiction, where I've begun work on a novel. I assume it will be an immediate success, as no one else has begun work on a novel. In my spare time, I like to complain. I'll often direct complaints to Megan, though I rarely complain about her.

MEGAN RONAN

I self-identify as a poet. I am originally from New Jersey and visit frequently, but have been in Virginia for quite some time now.  I will finish my MFA at George Mason this May, after which I will become a poetess-socialite. Or, my friend Sara once suggested we work in the poetry factory together, like Laverne and Shirley.  So maybe that.  I am interested in gender issues and am the poetry editor at So to Speak:  a feminist journal of language & art.  I spent most of my college years and MFA time working in a women's clothing boutique.  I like clothes, and I hate when Corey shaves his beard. I like when Corey wears Frye boots, except that it reminds me that I can't afford Frye boots, and then I become melancholy.
